In a heartwarming display of creativity and collaboration, MoreThanMeerAs recently facilitated an intervention at Nuwe Begin Skuiling, a homeless shelter in Worcester. The initiative brought together a diverse group of individuals, each with their unique experiences and challenges, to embark on a transformative, yet creative journey.
Through the process of planning and executing a collective project, participants discovered their strengths, stepped out of their comfort zones, and learned valuable skills for the future. As they worked together, they developed a sense of validation and self-worth, realising that they are more than their past, circumstances, or current situation.
The creative process instilled hope and empowerment in the participants, fostering a sense of community and connection. As the African proverb goes, “I am because we are” – a testament to the power of collective growth and support.
